International New Students
Please follow this two-step process:
- Click here to visit the Gwinnett County Public Schools' webpage for the International Newcomer Center and make an appointment with the International Newcomer Center (INC).
- AFTER you have received your paperwork from the INC, call Brookwood Counseling at 678-344-2603 to make an enrollment appointment.

Withdrawals
How to Withdraw Your Student
End-of-semester withdrawals
Complete this Withdrawal Form and email kelley.carr@gcpsk12.org or call 678-639-3479.
The form may be completed only by an enrolling parent or guardian electronically.
The student will receive a customized withdrawal packet the last week of school. This does not affect final exams; your student be withdrawn after his or her last exam. Requesting in advance minimizes the wait time.
Withdrawing students must return all textbooks, library books, rented calculators, uniforms, Chromebooks, chargers, and hotspots before the end of the school year.
To Withdraw Your Student During a Semester
We wish your child the best during the transition to a new school. Our school system has an easy-to-use, secure online withdrawal process that will allow you to complete the form required for withdrawing your child. Once you complete and submit the online withdrawal form, you will be contacted by a school representative to verify your ID and to provide you with any additional information necessary to complete the withdrawal if needed for your child.
*If using a browser OTHER THAN Internet Explorer (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), in order to complete the form and submit it, you will need to do the following steps:

Click on the submit button at the bottom of the form. This creates a draft in your email application.

Send the email
If using Microsoft Edge, click on the link below, fill out the form and click on the submit button at the bottom of the form.

Withdrawal forms must be completed by the enrolling parent/guardian only.

Once you complete and submit the online withdrawal form, you will be contacted by Mrs. Carr to verify your ID and to provide you with any additional information necessary (if needed) to complete the withdrawal of your student.
How to Transfer Records
Once your student has enrolled at the new school, that school will send a records request to Brookwood, and then records will be transferred to the receiving school.
- If the receiving school is a GCPS school, records will be sent by courier.
- If the receiving school is not a GCPS school, records will be sent by U.S. mail.
- GCPS policy prohibits transfer of records by email or fax.
Immunizations
State law requires a booster MCV4 shot for students who are 16 years old and in 11th grade.
New enrollees in 11th grade:

New juniors must submit a Georgia Form 3231 Certificate of Immunization marked "Complete for 11th grade and higher."
For existing Brookwood students:

When your student turns 16, get the MCV4 booster from your doctor, pharmacy, or health department.

Bring an updated Georgia Form 3231 Certificate of Immunization to the Counseling office in A1.

Students who are not 16 years old do not have to get the vaccine until their 16th birthday.

Note that this booster vaccine is required in addition to the MCV4 vaccine that was required for your child in 7th grade.
Change of Address
How to Change Your Address with Brookwood

Friendly Reminders: Only the enrolling parent/guardian can make changes in the student's account. ( If you are unsure if you are the enrolling parent, please contact the school.)
Please gather the following documents before you begin this process:

Mortgage Statement or Deed or Property Tax statement.

Lease( No subleasing)

Utility bill- water or electric only. You may submit the letter from the utility company that services have established for your home.

If your lease includes utilities, you have to submit 2 pieces of business mail. The business mail must have the enrolling parents' name on it. We cannot accept cell phone bills as business mail.

Enrolling parent ID.
GCPS requests parents and guardians update their address directly in their parent portal. To do this, log into your parent account. Note - You cannot make changes in the app, use a computer or the web browser on your phone. This will update the address for all students listed in your parent account.

1 - Select online registration for the current school year and then select GCPS Transfer(Current Student) Registration.
2 - Follow the prompts and once you change the address, select yes, when asked if your address has changed .
3 - Continue to confirm all information in each section.
4 - When you get to the documents section, upload your mortgage/or lease and then upload your utilities or business mail.
5- You will be asked to upload your photo ID. Once all sections are completed, please hit submit. Once we receive it, we will update the address.
6- Email allison.rhodes@gcpsk12.org if the student is a bus rider.
NOTE: If your family is living in someone else's home, the above documents still need to be uploaded. In addition, the parent or guardian must come to the school, along with the homeowner, to complete a RESIDENCY AFFIDAVIT. Please reach out to kelley.carr@gcpsk12.org to set up a time to come in. The affidavit MUST be completed in person AND must be renewed every year.
Email Address Change
In order to change your email address in our system, please bring your photo ID to the front desk or scan your ID and email to allison.hollingshead@gcpsk12.org. Please be sure to include your name, student name, previous email address, and new email address.
