Brookwood Summer Intensive Credit Recovery Program 2026
Summer Intensive Credit Recovery (SCR) is a program for students who did not pass a class and earned a grade between the ranges of 50% to 69%. Students can take a condensed version of the course to earn credit towards graduation. Successfully completed CR grades will appear on a student’s transcript, but they will NOT replace the failed grade.
Who is eligible? Students who meet the criteria above are eligible. SCR is offered at a standard, college preparatory class level. Resource, Co-Taught, Honors, Gifted, Accelerated, and Advanced Placement courses are not available.
When is the Summer Intensive CR session offered? The Summer Intensive CR session and registration dates are listed below. Students must attend BOTH days of the face-to-face sessions for the entire time each day.
REGISTRATION DATES: May 1st – May 21st
SESSION DATES/TIMES: Wednesday, May 27th (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) AND Thursday, May 28th (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Is there a maximum number of students who are accepted?
● Yes! To ensure there are enough facilitators to support our Credit Recovery structure, there is a maximum number of students accepted. Thus, students will be registered on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis until we reach the maximum number of students allowed.
How does the program work?
● Brookwood uses a self-paced class with embedded tests for Credit Recovery.
● Students may take only ONE Summer Intensive CR course. Students should make math the priority if more than one class is needed.
● NCAA does NOT recognize this Credit Recovery program for eligibility purposes.
● Special Education and 504 accommodations are NOT supported by the Summer Credit Recovery program.
What is the cost for the Summer Intensive Credit Recovery?
● $65 payable on mypaymentsplus.com (non-refundable)
What are the requirements for participation?
● Students are required to attend CR both days for the entire time each day. Additionally, they must demonstrate academic honesty, responsible behavior, and self-discipline at all times. Students who do not meet attendance and/or behavior expectations will be withdrawn from CR. Payment will not be refunded, and students will not be rolled over to a future CR session. If withdrawn, students will need to re-register/ re-pay to start the course from the beginning in a future CR session.
● Students must bring their Chromebook and power cord each day of the SCR session. Students will not be able to access the course content without them.

What is Credit Recovery?
Brookwood High School (BHS) has implemented several Intensive Credit Recovery (CR) sessions for our students. Intensive Credit Recovery (CR) is a face-to-face program for students who did not pass a class and earned a grade between the ranges of 50% and 69% (see list of CR courses on attached flier).
The Brookwood High School Credit Recovery Program does not meet the minimum academic standards that NCAA requires and is, thus, NOT recognized for eligibility purposes. Prospective college athletes should NOT take Credit Recovery courses.
