The Math Department at Brookwood High School is made up of 24 math teachers who cover a wide range of mathematical courses. Within each course, we focus on content, technology, test-taking skills, real-life applications, and building a solid math background. Our students are well prepared mathematically for the path they choose to explore after graduation.

PURCHASING OR RENTING A GRAPHING CALCULATOR
The following are suggestions made by the math department in purchasing a graphing calculator.
It is imperative that every student in Algebra II or above have access to a graphing calculator in the classroom, as well as at home.
We recommend the Texas Instrument 83 or 84 (any version). If your student is interested in taking a statistic course in the future the TI-84 would be a better choice.
TI-92 are not allowed in any classes.
TI-89 are allowed in Calculus classes only.
TI-85 & 86 are OK but not as user friendly.
Calculators can be rented through My Payments Plus at the beginning of each school year.
